What's the best video editing software for Roblox?
CapCut. Anyone can pick it up in an afternoon, and it has more ready-made effects, transitions and animations than you'll ever use. For Roblox videos you don't need anything heavier.
| Software | How hard to learn | Control | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| CapCut | Easy | Enough for Roblox | Roblox videos, Shorts, TikToks |
| Premiere Pro | Medium | More | Longer edits, if you already know Adobe |
| DaVinci Resolve | Hard | The most | Editors who want full control |
| After Effects | Hard | Motion graphics | A later step, for higher-end work |
Why is CapCut the best for Roblox videos?
Speed. CapCut ships with tons of premade animations, effects and transitions, and a library you can search for effects, transitions, sound effects and music. Here's how that library holds up:
- Transitions and effects: great. This is the main reason to use it.
- Sound effects: hit or miss. Some are perfect, a lot aren't.
- Music: not very good. Use only music the brand supplies or music licensed for commercial use.
- Stickers: useful now and then, but you'll usually do better finding a PNG online and dropping that in.
CapCut vs Premiere Pro: which should you use?
CapCut, for Roblox. Premiere Pro is Adobe's editor, and it sits in the middle: easier than DaVinci Resolve, with more control than CapCut but not as much as Resolve. It's a good fit if you already use Adobe apps, and more than a Roblox video needs.
CapCut vs DaVinci Resolve: is Resolve worth learning?
Only if you want full control. DaVinci Resolve has a much higher skill threshold than CapCut, and it gives you much more control over every frame. Some editors swear by it. For Roblox videos, it's more work than you need.
If you want to go further later, higher-end edits with a lot of motion graphics are made in After Effects. That's its own thing, and you can get there after CapCut.
What do you use for thumbnails and images?
Photopea. It's a free Photoshop alternative that runs in your browser, with all the main tools. It doesn't have the new AI features, but everything else is there, and our team uses it all the time.
How do you get paid for editing Roblox videos?
Edit for BloxClips campaigns. You're paid on approved views, and what a clip pays depends on the campaign. YouTube and TikTok pay creators about $0.15 to $0.25 per 1,000 views, $0.30 at most, and you can be demonetized there for a long list of reasons.
